Lisa Apple, a talented composer newly based in New York City, is making a significant impact in the world of musical theatre with her co-written work, *Boy on Billboard*, alongside collaborator Meg Parker Wilson. The musical is deeply personal, drawing from the true story of Apple’s brother, James, who battled paranoid schizophrenia.

Apple’s background is as rich as her compositions. A former choir teacher, she has spent years performing in theatre, dance, and singing engagements in Dallas and Plano, Texas. For 18 years, she has dedicated her talents to educating young musicians at a private school in Plano. She recently resigned from teaching to pursue more musical writing opportunities and to get Boy on Billboard out to more people.
